Will Man United and Real Madrid bid for the same French Ligue 1 goalkeeper?

Manchester United and Real Madrid have emerged as the likely favorites to sign Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka this summer.

The 24-year-old has been among the strongest defenders in the European Championships this season, although his Nice have struggled for points in recent games.

Nice have been the most serious challenger to leaders Paris Saint-Germain for most of the season, but have relinquished their strong positions in a series of matches. However, the team's guard was always at a serious level - Nice conceded just six goals in their first 15 league games of the season, with Bulka's intervention proving responsible in many of those situations.

According to sports pundits, both Man United and Real Madrid have noticed the goalkeeper's qualities and are likely to look to sign him during the summer transfer window.

A serious knee injury deprived Real Madrid of their starting goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who missed the entire football season. This forced Carlo Ancelotti to call on the services of Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea, as well as bringing in Ukrainian goalkeeper Andrii Lunin. With Courtois' future still unclear and Arrizabalaga not on a permanent contract with the Whites, it is highly likely that Real Madrid will be looking for a new goalkeeper this summer.

Andre Onana's career in Manchester United has been short and so far open to criticism. It is also true that the task of the goalkeeper is not easy - in the last 4 games alone, the team received 106 shots on goal, and the Cameroonian guard allowed only 7 goals from them and saved almost 100.
